Murder Hallway

“Murderess She Wrote” is the first level in LWOH and is all about dangerous women in horror and the tropes that surround them. The player is tested by these women during each encounter. The player may need to answer trivia questions correctly or respond to questions in the way that won’t piss off these women to get through the level safely. The murderesses featured in this level are the following: Clara Wieland from Charles Brockdon Brown’s novel Wieland, various ghost faces from the Wes Craven's Scream franchise, Mommy Jason from Friday the 13th, recluse Emily Grierson from William Faulkner’s short story “A Rose for Emily,” and sweet little Amma from Gillian Flynn’s novel and HBO series Sharp Objects. Watch out these women are mad.

Nature Hallway

"Gaia’s Vengeance" is a level that explores horror tropes surrounding nature and women’s bodies. Each room tests the player by placing them in uncomfortable situations where sometimes there is no right answer. Some horrific themes include pregnancy, periods, toxic masculinity, and nature itself. Literature references range from The Scarlet Letter to Twilight.
